Computer-mediated communication (CMC) is defined as any human communication that occurs through the use of two or more electronic devices.

CMC has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. Its advantages include the fact that it is not limited by time or location, that it is inexpensive, that it ensures superior reach, facilitates information archiving, and provides instant feedback. It also helps to bridge communication gaps and bring people together.

Chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis (CMC) refers to a heterogeneous group of disorders characterized by recurrent or persistent superficial infections of the skin, mucous membranes, and nails with Candida organisms, usually Candida albicans.

A central maintenance computer collects and stores maintenance data for aircraft systems. Primary functions include fault processing, testing, fault history and reporting. The CMC monitors aircraft systems for faults, processes fault information and supplies maintenance messages.
